This artwork serves as a poignant reflection of many people's minds, including my own at times, during a time when negative mental health issues have become more prevalent than ever, amplified by the pressures of social media. The smiley faces hidden beneath a chaotic overlay of self-doubt and intrusive thoughts represent the struggle of smiling through pain and the neglect of our true potential and happiness, buried beneath the noise of mental clutter, societal expectations, and toxic patterns.

I wanted to paint this piece as a reminder that it’s okay not to be okay and emphasizes the importance of talking about our struggles and seeking help.
